HOW TO SECURE ADMISSIONS IN DEEMED UNIVERSITIES TAMIL NADU
The Tamil Nadu BDS admission can be done only through NEET Entrance Exam. Those applicants seeking to get admission in the BDS programs from the medical and dental colleges of Tamil Nadu state, can fill the MCC application form through online mode only.
DEEMED UNIVERSITY IN TAMIL NADU BDS COUNSELLING PROCEDURE
The counselling for Deemed university BDS/MBBS 2020 will be conducted by MCC in online mode. For admission to Deemed BDS 2020, candidates must secure the minimum NEET 2020 percentile and equivalent scores as mentioned by National Testing Agency (NTA). For participating in the admission process of Deemed University NEET, aspirants need to register themselves at mcc website – https://www.mcc.nic.in
- After registration, candidates also have to provide their choices of Deemed Universities in which they wish to get admission. On the basis of NEET 2020 result, preferences of colleges and courses, seats availability, reservation criteria and other factors, the admission to Deemed University BDS 2020 will be granted under the centralised counselling process.
- The candidate can check the status of their admission from the website itself.
- After confirmation the candidate can visit the chosen college for other admission formalities like submission of original academic documents and fee payments.
- However, candidates belonging to the state of Jammu and Kashmir will not be considered in this case.
ELIGIBITY CRITERIA FOR DEEMED UNIVERSITY BDS ADMISSION

PROCEDURE
The counselling for Deemed Universities will be conducted in three rounds.
- Aspirants seeking admission in BDS courses in the Deemed universities will be required to register themselves and pay the registration fee for the same on the MCC web portal in order to participate in the counselling process.
- After registering, candidates are required to give their preference of course and institute in which they wish to get admission.
It is highly advisable that the candidates go through the following in order to effectively participate in the counselling process.
- Counselling schedule and dates
- List of colleges participating in the counselling
- Number of seats available under each category
- Ranking of each college
- The process of seat allotment for each round will be done based on the merit.
- Those who have been allotted a seat will be required to report at the said institute along with the relevant academic documents.
- Applicants will have the free entry/exit option available too.
- The authority will then publish a list of vacant seats for the next round of counselling.
- Eligible candidates will thus register and enter fresh choices and submit them for the second round of counselling (not required by already registered candidates).
- The process of seat allotment will begin after which results will be published same as round one.
- A mop up round is also organised by the authority in case there are seats left vacant after the conclusion of round one and two.
ACADEMIC DOCUMENT REQUIRED TO JOIN THE INSTITUTION
At the time of admission or reporting at the allotted college, candidates will be required to furnish the following documents failing which candidates will not be allowed to take NEET admission in Deemed University 2020.
- NEET UG admit card 2020
- NEET 2020 result
- Date of Birth Certificate (if Matric Certificate does not bear the same)
- Marksheet of Class 10 and 12
- Eight Passport size photographs (same as provided on the application form)
- Provisional allotment letter issued online
- A valid ID proof (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- PwD Certificate (if applicable)
- Community certificate
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR NRI’s (ADDITIONAL)
For Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates following documents are required:
- a) Passport copies of sponsor
- b) Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsor is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of study)
- c) Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsor)
