The Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge offers diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, while ensuring comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth, along with oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. We, in our department also provide the post procedural care of the oral function to the patient hence the final treatment procedure completes here.
It specialises in implant, aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry. Restoration of oral function is done through prostheses and restorations (i.e., complete dentures, crowns, implant retained/supported restorations).
We provide advanced treatment modality for completely edentulous patients ranging from overdentures, Implant retained as well as the full implant-supported prosthesis.
For partially edentulous patients permanent treatment options such as the Fixed partial denture, Cast partial dentures, Implant prosthetics, Precision attached prosthesis are also done.
Our team is well trained in rehabilitating maxillofacial deformity with advanced materials and techniques. We expertise in esthetic smile design and full mouth rehabilitation of decimated dentition incorporating veneers, crowns and bridges.
Apart from educating the students, the department provides care for patients who require comprehensive and advanced phases of Prosthodontics treatment. The department focuses not just on patient care but also gives equal emphasis to innovative teaching methodologies by conducting journal club discussion on weekly basis.
