The Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry renders comprehensive dental care for infants and children providing them with a lovely smile, free of dental diseases. The department incorporates an innovative pre-doctoral program designed to provide dental students with experience in managing children’s dental care needs. Our primary mission includes teaching, service and research. We provide oral health evaluation, teeth cleaning, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, crowns, extractions, space maintainers, minor surgical procedures and dental trauma management. In addition to this, the department fosters outreach activities through the education of pre-doctoral students. We also arrange school dental health camps which include oral health education, screening and treatment.
