Pharmacology explains the fascinating ways in which drugs interact in our body. Our department is top ranked with many high scoring distinction candidates due to our approach to teaching in a way that leads to better understanding of the molecular and biological mechanism involved in underlying causes of diseases and to explore modalities in diagnostic, prevention and therapeutics.
The broad goal of teaching pharmacology is to inculcate rational and scientific basis of therapeutics to handle medical emergency during various dental procedures on the dental chair.
All academic staff in our department owe a commitment to top-quality teaching that emphasizes general principles and integrates into them the latest findings of modern research. We strive to provide a breadth of exposure and direction that permits students to effectively and successfully contribute to the biomedical research and amelioration of diseases. Students and staff play a key role in our research endeavors and present their research at national meetings, conferences and symposiums.
The unifying theme that has emerged in the department is to create an environment for tremendous success with no question of failures. Recently organized CDE Programme on ANTIDIABETIC DRUGS IN CANCER- POTENTIAL AND CHALLENGES, well attended and received by doctors, dentists, experts from top research institutions with media coverage is an additional feather to our hat.
